Clare Halifax is a London-based artist producing intensely detailed limited edition screenprints and original drawings.
Her intricately designed scenes are inspired by her everyday environment and depict cityscapes, landscapes, botanicals and occasionally animals. Embracing her background in textile design, Clare uses pattern, colour and play to create rhythmic and meticulous artworks that viewers can dive into, journey through, and get lost in.
“The challenge of a new drawing is the composition and layout, making sure all elements are placed correctly and in line with each other. Once I have achieved this, filling in the detail becomes almost meditative, creating patterns within the patterns that make up the final piece.”
