Oli Fowler is an artist who specialises in screenprinting and illustration. Having studied Fashion and Textiles at Central Saint Martins, and later a BA in Graphic Design from Camberwell College of Arts, his artistic practice spans across various forms of graphic art and design, including printmaking, illustration, photography, and photomontage.
He values experimentation from the earliest stages of work, frequently combining these different mediums in his creative process and allowing for chance and deliberate mistakes to give direction for the finished piece.
His dynamic compositions are characterised by their use of collage scrapbook style cut-outs, bold typography, photographed textures, solid spot colours and pure CMYK 4 colour process printing methods.
"Every time I do a piece of work now, I apply those words. I ask, 'Is it retro? Is it disco? And has it got a feel-good vibe?"
