Sara Pope
Contemporary artist Sara Pope is best known for her bold, seductive paintings of voluptuous lips. Exploring notions of femininity, beauty and communication, Sara uses the perspective of several years’ experience working in the fashion and magazine industry, to create her unique visual language. Her process involves applying layers of thin, oil-diluted paint, blending and smoothing the colours at each stage to reach a point where, emulating the stylistic slickness of advertising, the result is glossy, perfect and irresistible.
Sara’s work has been shown in numerous exhibitions and art fairs across London and internationally, including Next Street Gallery, Paris, The Saatchi Gallery, London, The London Original Print Fair at the Royal Academy of Arts and SCOPE Miami.
