Sophie Newell
Sophie Newell lives and works in Camberwell, London.
Having previously made large scale site specific installations and wall based assemblages using cast concrete objects, I am currently making monotypes using a resist technique with found photographic imagery which i collage and remake into hand printed original prints.
My hybrid Moon Birds and fictional predators are presented in a black moon space that is both the future and the past, mythic and elemental.
