C.A.Halpin AKA Lady Hairpin
C.A.Halpin is based in East London. Her work covers a wide range on contemporary themes and subjects, often reacting to political and social events. She has an MA in Illustration from the Royal College of Art. She has exhibited at the V&A Museum of Childhood and has work in the Jeu de Paume, Centre Pompidou, La Musee D'Orsay, La Musee des Sables D'Ollones. Her work is commissioned and collected internationally. She also curates and collaborates with a diverse range of artists under the name The Outside World AllStars.
For this year's IRL Electric Blue edition Lady Hairpin will be showing a whole new range of hand finished prints and drawings from my new Zine The Rise and Falls of The Invisible Woman, published by Silverhill Press. The booklet features Blue Woman falling, breaking and getting back up again. There will be books and prints available as well as 'Elbow My Arse' memorabilia. There will be other GLITTERTASTIC merch and sticky things available on my stall and some smashing new works will appear on the ACBF site over the weekend
