Kareem is a contemporary collage and mixed media artist creating highly-textured and multi-layered works. Collecting found imagery from the promises of post-war culture and advertising, Kareem selects images that resonate with him on a visual or emotional level.
He then arranges, rearranges, crops, cuts, folds, tears, scratches and peels back pieces to find interesting connections that reveal an ongoing visual dialogue between graphic design and fine art.
