Kadiya Qasem (b. London, 1976) is a British Yemeni Greek photographer whose work explores themes of identity, otherness and desire. By reimagining landscape in all its forms, her dreamlike images invite us to question our relationship to what is familiar and challenge assumptions of normality and desirability.
Kadiya’s work has been exhibited internationally, including Antisocial Isolation at Saatchi Gallery, Royal Photographic Society's Representation on the line: (Un)framing our identities, and Blipoint Photo Festival, Barcelona.
